Reference numbers on shared listings
Every agency has its own short code. Shared listings get your number on your website, brochures and feeds; your own listings keep the numbers they already have.
Reference numbers on shared listings
When you market a listing that belongs to another agency in the network, two reference numbers exist for the same property: theirs and yours. This page explains which one appears where, and why nothing you have already sent to a client stops working.
How it works
- Every agency has its own short code. It is assigned from your agency name and does not change - for example
EHorADM. - A shared listing gets your number under your code, such as
ADM-8ELEZ3. The listing agency keeps their own reference (for exampleEH-100016) - both point at the same property. - Your own listings keep the numbers they already have. Nothing you have printed, published or sent to a client is renumbered.
The rule in one line: the public portal shows the listing agent's reference. Your website, your brochures and your feeds show yours.
Where you will see each number
- On your website and microsites. Every property shows your number, whether the listing is yours or came from another agency in the network. A buyer browsing your site never sees another agency's reference.
- In the CRM. A shared property shows both numbers: yours first, then the listing agent's. Quote theirs when you ring the other agency about it.
- On the public portal (propertylist.es). Buyers see the listing agent's own reference.
- In brochures and marketing material. Whatever you generate carries your number.
- In your website feeds. Shared listings in a paid feed carry your code; your own listings keep their original reference. See Export Listings XML.
Searching by reference
Good to know
- Nothing to set up. Your code exists already and shared listings are numbered automatically the moment they appear on your site.
- Two numbers, one property. If a client quotes a reference from another agency's site, search for it - it resolves to the same record.
- Your code is fixed. It is derived from your agency name and is not editable, so references you hand out stay valid.
