Agent Detection: why some leads are free
Enquiries from other agents are detected automatically, tagged, never charged a credit and excluded from automated emails. How the registry works and how to correct it.
Other agents enquire on listings constantly. Without a filter you end up with competitors in your lead list, paying to qualify a rival, or an automated email telling another agency what their client's home is worth. Agent Detection stops that.
How it works
Every incoming lead is cross-referenced automatically against the registry of known agents. The registry builds itself from the verified email and phone of every registered PropertyList agent, plus agency email-domain matching, so anyone writing from a known agency address is recognised. Phone numbers are normalised first, so it does not matter whether a number arrives as +34, 0034 or with no prefix at all.
What happens on a match
- The lead gets a red Agent tag, visible everywhere in the app.
- It never costs a credit.
- It is excluded from Nurture and from every automated email.
- You get a quiet flag rather than an alarm, because an agent enquiring is sometimes legitimate collaboration.
It never deletes anything
Detection tags, it does not bin. False positives happen, an agent's partner buying a home for themselves being the obvious one, so the tag is a warning with a one-click not an agent to remove it.
Your corrections stay yours
If you flag someone as an agent yourself, that stays local to your account. Only platform-verified identities go into the shared registry. One mistaken tag should never pollute everybody else's database, and it is also why the registry cannot fill up with junk.
