Marbella FC’s Stadium Dreams Take Shape

Marbella FC is making significant strides towards a new era. The club has unveiled its new kits for the upcoming season and announced that the concession for the construction of a new football stadium in Marbella will be put out to tender at the end of August.

Mayor Ángeles Muñoz revealed the news during the kit presentation, emphasizing the importance of public input in the project. A one-month period will be allocated for public exposure, allowing residents and stakeholders to provide feedback and suggestions.

The goal is to award the concession in the coming months and commence demolition and construction work before the end of 2024. As the necessary planning and approvals have already been obtained, the concessionaire will only need to secure the required licenses.

While the stadium construction is underway, Marbella FC will continue to train and play at the Dama de Noche facility. This iconic ground holds a special place in the hearts of fans and has been instrumental in the club’s successes.

The new football stadium project is estimated to cost between 115 and 130 million euros. Funded by a private initiative from the Marbella FC foundation, the stadium aims to be a sub-host for the 2030 World Cup in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.

Beyond the stadium news, Marbella FC also showcased its new kits for the 2024-2025 season. Players José Callejón, Luis Acosta, Alberto Lejárraga, and Daniel Solsky modeled the new strips, which feature designs inspired by Marbella’s sun and sea.

Mayor Muñoz expressed her pride in Marbella FC’s achievements and announced an increase in municipal sponsorship for the next three seasons. The club’s main sponsor, Sierra Blanca, a renowned real estate firm on the Costa del Sol, will also be prominently featured on the players’ shorts.
